Site is so easy to navigate, and once your order is placed loads of contact regarding the delivery right up to the point where the driver rings you to say he’s less than an hour away. Even took the wrappers with him. 5 stars all the way. "
"A mid-range Bosch was recommended to use by the repairer of our now dead AEG machine. This should apparently have the same internal mechanics as the more expensive ranges but miss out on some of the features that we were unlikely to use anyway, while being considerably cheaper.
After a couple of weeks use we are pleased with this new machine. It is easy to use and has a good range of programs and features. It is relatively quiet in operation and seems reasonably well made - although the washing powder drawer does feel very plasticky and can be a bit stiff to open. (We usually put liquid in the drum instead.)
We generally use the "Mixed Load" wash which seems to wash well. It is similar to the ECO program but washes much more quickly (1h to 1h 15min for a 4kg load depending upon options) and allows you to select temperature and extra rinsing (which we often use) which you cannot do with the Eco wash. The Eco wash takes around 3h 45m but can wash up to 9kg and presumably saves energy.
The only thing I miss from our previous (more expensive) machine is a light within the drum itself - which means that I have to feel around the drum to check for odd socks at the end of the wash. "

"My previous Bosch had to be replaced after 17 years of faithful service. I decided to go with Bosch again as other appliances have been very reliable. I wanted an A rated appliance and did a lot of research on various models. It was hard to take on board how long washes take nowadays but finally got my head around it - there is an option to shorten some cycles with a reduced load. Anyway to cut a long story short it is amazing. So quiet. I have started to use Calgon with each wash to prolong life. Hope it beats the 17 years of my last one."

"Easy to use and appears to wash well. Nice and quiet. The only thing I don’t like is the black door and the amount this sticks out into the room, but as it is in a utility room it isn’t a problem."

"Pros
Weighs the wash load and uses the correct amount of water needed for that wash saving water and energy.
Easy to use programme cycles with clear white on black background, bright digital display.
Has a detergent compartment component that allows you to use liquid detergent in the drawer, if desired. So it holds the liquid detergent in place until the wash starts. Of course you can use powder detergent or capsules also.
Built in delay timer for up to 24-hours.
Large drum does manage large wash loads well.
Mega, super quiet spin cycle! So quiet that I don’t hear it in an open living space on a 1400 spin.
Quick wash function - choose your wash and then click ‘quick wash’ and reduce the cycle between 30-60 mins saving on energy. The drum turns more frequently in a quick wash which achieves the same good wash results in much less time.
‘A’ rated energy under the new system meaning it will save on electricity compared to a C or D rated models. Really important especially if you only have an electricity only and no gas like me in a flat.
‘Drum self clean’ cycle to keep the machine clean every few months.
Bosch reliability and quality I have come to trust in.
Cons
Much heavier that usual which may be to stabilise the machine when spinning to reduce sound.
It’s a deeper machine measuring 60cm deep compared to my old Bosch which was 58cm. This depth makes a difference. I have waste pipes behind the machine and even under a 60cm work top, the machine stuck out from under the work top by 3cm. I had to change the position and move the machine to where the dishwasher was with no waste pipes so it would fit. Please do make sure your machine will fit. It’s not a good look or practical if it pokes out 2-4 cm from under the work top. For this reason it caused me so much hassle to try and get it to fit as it is a deeper machine and still pokes out by 1 cm. I don’t have a big kitchen so this does make a difference.
Overall, it’s a really good purchase and has done a few washes now with great results. I have no regrets and very happy it’s an ‘A’ energy rated machine.
