Beko B3W5841IW 8Kg Washing Machine - White

New era of Bekos are not like the great ones from 10 years ago.

"My previous washing machine was a superstar Beko that lasted 13 years so naturally I went for the latest Beko. Unfortunately I had to exchange the Beko B3W5841IW 8kg Washing Machine for the Bosch WAN282X2GB_SI Washing Machine because:

1. Mixed Load was missing from the default programs on the Beko, you had to download an app and sync via bluetooth and then download the Mixed Load setting.

2. Once I successfully downloaded the setting, I put the wash on at 3pm for a 2 hour program. But it kept going on and on and on and on and I couldn't get my clothes out until after 7pm. This really stressed me out.

3. My clothes were on an gimmicky iron fast/crease free setting and they came out more creased than I have ever seen them AND everything smelt musty as hell.

4. There is a massive known design flaw with the emergency drain hose, it retracted into the machine and was unable to get it out.

5. To fix it you would need to call out an official engineer at considerable cost as any DIY fixes would void any warranty.

All in all it was the worst purchase for me. If you are an old school Beko fan you won't like the new machines. Honestly I can't believe that a washing machine has stressed me out so much. The replacement Bosch is absolutely amazing by the way."

Just what we needed

"Very happy with product - does the job well, clear display & a couple of extra programs over what we'd expected*. Liked the black "trim" around exterior of drum - looks smart. *There are two different programs for (1) just rinse - (but no spin); and (2) spin and drain. Not a prob but a little confusing for us at first, and depending on what item you're laundering this means you could possibly end up with longer time to finish, and more energy used."

Good compact washing machine.

"I chose this machine because of positive consumer magazine recommendations around Beko, because it had a short wash cycle and because it was small enough to fit the space I had.

It looks good, was reasonably priced, appears well made, has a lot of functionality, uses recycled materials for the drum, works well, is quiet , and appears to be economical on electricity.

I have not owned a Beko before, but am happy with this so far"

"Bought as a replacement for another Beko and performs well so far. Much quieter than our old machine and the installation service was very good. Our daughter particular appreciated the AO bear!"
