"It's a nice machine, but be aware that it apparently is designed to leak on the first use! I did the Auto Clean wash as advised in the set up instructions, all was fine until the last 3 minutes when water appeared from the base. On checking underneath it seemed to be coming from the drum. I rang the Hotpoint help line and was told that it is "quite normal" for it to leak on the first use, something about the water finding all the nooks and crannies. It made no sense to me, but I then went on to do a wash with clothes and it hasn't leaked since. It seems very odd and apparently doesn't happen with every machine. Apart from that, so far so good! "

"I have only had the washing machine a few weeks. It looks good works well and easy to install. If it lasts as long as my previous hotpoint (22 years) then it will outlast me and will do exactly what it says on the product info."
